What's New at the Old Clark Inn

DON'T WORRY... IT'S BUSINESS AS USUAL AT THE OLD CLARK!             4/17/08
We want to reassure folks who have made -or are considering making- reservations that the Inn being for sale IN NO WAY EFFECTS YOUR RESERVATION. Selling this type of business typically takes a number of YEARS. In the event we go do under contract, we will personally contact each and every one of you (and from this point it would still be MONTHS before the property actually changes hands). Meanwhile, we are continuing to put money back into our business by making updates and renovations to make your stay even more enjoyable. We have redone 3 guest rooms this spring and have 3 more rooms scheduled for fall. We are currently working on the ouside areas, including a new and more convenient bicycle parking area. We are heading into our favorite season now, and we look forward to enjoying our home and locale and to sharing it with our guests.

The Inn is for sale...             4/12/08
We are interested in pursuing another local business oportunity but realize that, unfortunately, we would be unable to continue running the Inn at the same time. So, it is with considerable reluctance that we begin our search for the right kind of buyers who will want to continue in the tradition of the Old Clark Inn. The Inn has provided us with a unique opportunity to live, work and play in the mountains of WV and now we are offering that same unique opportunity to someone else. In order not to disrupt our business, we will reply to EMAIL inquiries ONLY. If you are interested please use the email address at the bottom of this page.

The 1st motorcyclists of the 2008 riding season!             3/30/08
Chad and Anthony arrived at the Old Clark Inn on Saturday March 29 on a fairly mild spring day and awoke the following morning to find the temp had dropped and it was sleeting!

Hot Tub...R.I.P.             3/4/08
After 4 years of constant expense and maintenance, (and fairly infrequent use), we have finally given up on the hot tub amenity. We know some of you will be disappointed, but as all our expenses have risen dramatically in recent months, (food, fuel oil, insurance, utilities...) we were forced to make some hard decisions in order to minimize rate increases. Our objective is to remain a good value for our guests while reinvesting in the Old Clark in ways that will continue to grow our repeat business.

Continental Breakfast on Weekdays             3/4/08
On Monday through Friday mornings we now offer a continental style breakfast. This self-service set up allows breakfast to be available earlier and for a longer period of time. A variety of breakfast items will be available such as fruit, bagels, cereals, danish and so forth. On Saturday and Sunday mornings we continue to serve our full hot breakfast from 8:30 - 9:30 (8-9am through March).

Please excuse our mess...Renovations Underway!             3/4/08
We have begun remodeling some of our rooms...one at a time, as business allows...at the same time making needed updates to plumbing and electric. This is an ongoing project and we will keep you posted on the progress!
